TechTreat to the rescue

Friends of Wairoa Stream planted native plants in June along the neglected boundary between Sammaree Reserve and the industrial area of Sammaree Place. With the forecast dry spring and summer having already started to bite, our plants have no water source.

No problem for Dave Snowden of neighbouring business TechTreat. He located a 1,000 litre water tank, had it fitted with a domestic hose outlet and organised a forklift to deliver it to the fence line - all within half an hour. The outcome is happy plants; all have been watered and mulched, and it will help them survive the likely drought.
