Wairoa Stream: Public Planting day Sunday, 16 July

Sunday, 16 July. Mark it in your diary as the day you can grab your spade and plant some trees along the Wairoa Stream.

Location: 300metres upstream from the Cobham Road Bridge. Follow the formed track.

Parking: In car park by the bridge

Bring: Sharp spade and wear boots or gumboots

Dig-off: 9am

Postponement: If the weather does not oblige we will post a notice on www.visionkerikeri.org around 8:00am on 16 July.

We have had contractors busy over autumn clearing a weed infested wilderness upstream from the Cobham Road Bridge and the area ready for planting can be seen in the two images below. The last image gives you some idea of the wilderness that did exist on the site.
