Electric vehicle (EV) owners now have a fast charging station available here in Kerikeri. Located behind the John Butler Centre it is the second fast charger (the other is in Kawakawa) and is part of a fast charging network for the Far North that will allow even low range EVs to drive to Cape Reinga and back.

We were pleased to see the recent announcement by The Northland Regional Council (NRC) regarding its growing fleet of electric and hybrid vehicles. The 10-strong fleet is believed to be among the largest of any local authority nationally.
